The four reported parties were scheduled to be questioned today as witnesses.

Kupang (ANTARA) - Investigators from the General Criminal Investigation Directorate of the East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police (Polda NTT) have questioned four reported parties in the investigation into the alleged intimidation of dr. Eliza Princila Utami Pakaenoni, or dr. Icha.

The Director of General Criminal Investigation at Polda NTT, Police Commissioner Sigit Haryono, speaking in Kupang on Tuesday, said the four reported parties were summoned to give statements as witnesses during the investigation stage.

“Today they are scheduled to be questioned as witnesses,” said Sigit.

He explained that the questioning was carried out by the Polda NTT Joint Investigation team at the General Criminal Investigation Directorate office at the NTT Regional Police Headquarters.

During the questioning, the four reported parties were accompanied by a legal team from the Bildad Thonak Law Office, consisting of Leo Lata Open, Egiardus Bana, and Obet Djami.

The questioning was a rescheduling after the reported parties had previously been summoned by investigators on Monday (13/7).

However, that agenda was postponed at the request of their legal counsel because their clients were unable to attend.

Previously, investigators had questioned a total of 32 witnesses, comprising health workers, patients, colleagues of the late dr. Icha, and family members.

In addition to taking witness statements and gathering evidence, investigators will also seek the opinions of a number of experts, including specialists in psychology, victimology, criminology, and criminal law.

The expert testimony will serve as material for investigators’ consideration in determining whether or not criminal elements exist in the alleged intimidation case.
