NTT Governor Hopes FCE 2026 Will Expand Market for MSME Products
Kupang (ANTARA) - The Governor of East Nusa and Nusa Tenggara (NTT), Melki Laka Lena, hopes that the Flobamorata Creative Expo (FCE) 2026, scheduled for early October 2026, will serve as a momentum to expand the market for the region’s flagship products.
“I would like to thank the Head of the Bank Indonesia Representative Office for NTT Province and the team for the plans to implement FCE, as well as the synergy of stakeholders to ensure that NTT’s flagship products have a wider space to grow,” said Melki while receiving the Head of the BI NTT Representative Office, Adidoyo Prakoso, in the NTT Governor’s office on Tuesday.
Melki stated that FCE 2026 is part of the effort to strengthen the regional economy based on local potential through the development of MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) and the creative economy. He expressed hope that the event could introduce and expand the market penetration of NTT’s coffee, textiles (wastra), and culinary products to both the national and international markets.
The Governor also encouraged the involvement of various parties to foster an entrepreneurial spirit among the younger generation, including students and university undergraduates. “We need to nurture the interests and talents of our children, whether they are school students or university students, in entrepreneurship to develop the MSME potential we possess,” he said.
During the meeting, Melki also emphasised the optimal use of People’s Business Credit (KUR) for those wishing to start businesses in accordance with their potential and capacity to manage MSMEs.
The Head of the BI NTT Representative Office, Adidottio Prakoso, explained that FCE 2026 is a rebranding of the previous event, known as the Exotic Tenun Fest (ETF). “With a broader concept, FCE will not only highlight textiles or wastra, but also position textiles, coffee, and culinary arts as flagship commodities that represent the cultural richness, creativity, and natural potential of East Nusa Tenggara,” he said.
FCE 2026 is scheduled to take place from 2–4 October 2026 at Lippo Plaza Mall, Kupang City, under the theme “Flobamorata Berkarya, Menuju Perekonomian Berdaya dan Berkelanjutan” (Flobamorata Creates, Towards an Empowered and Sustainable Economy).
The series of activities includes talk shows and masterclasses, textile, coffee, and culinary competitions, an MSME Expo, business matching, as well as export consultations and banking finance services.
Adidoyo stated that FCE is also directed towards strengthening the MSME ecosystem from upstream to downstream, ranging from increasing the capacity of business actors, product development, and access to financing, to market expansion and export opportunities.
Additionally, the event will feature public literacy and education, such as talk shows on consumer protection in payment systems, the QRIS Experience, socialisation of the ‘Love, Proud, Understand Rupiah’ campaign, banking finance consultations, mobile libraries, and book reviews.
FCE 2026 also carries the sub-theme “Boka Ngere Ki, Bere Ngere Ae,” which means “Together, Caring for Each Other, Strengthening to Rise,” as a form of solidarity for the people of NTT, particularly in Flores Island which has been affected by natural disasters.
This solidarity will be realised through donations from MSME product sales, a special textile auction where all proceeds are donated to disaster-affected communities, and a donation channel via QRIS ChariTree.
