NTT Earthquake: BRI Life Distributes Aid to Two Villages in Manggarai
BRI Life has distributed logistical aid to communities affected by the earthquake in Manggarai Regency, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT). The assistance was delivered to residents in Beokina Village and Dimpong Village to help meet post-disaster needs.
The earthquake that struck NTT on 15 August 2026 impacted numerous communities in the region. The distribution of aid was carried out through BRI Life’s Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) programme, bolstered by donations from the company’s employees and management.
The aid, consisting of logistical packages, was distributed by BRI Life volunteers alongside Bank BRI volunteers in the affected areas. The distribution was conducted directly, involving local government and community leaders.
BRI Life Corporate Secretary, Ade Nasution, stated that the assistance is a form of care from the company and BRI Life employees towards the disaster-affected communities.
“BRI Life shares in the grief and expresses concern over the earthquake that occurred in NTT. Through BRI Life’s TJSL programme, strengthened by donations from our employees, we wish to be present and provide tangible support for the affected people. Our direct presence on-site is a form of BRI Life’s care and solidarity with the community, especially those in need of assistance in facing post-disaster conditions,” Ade said in a press release on Friday (4/9/2026).
BRI Life volunteers, together with Bank BRI volunteers, distributed the aid directly to the people in Beokina and Dimpong Villages, Manggarai Regency. The distribution was welcomed by the residents and representatives of the aid recipients in both villages.
Ade noted that the collaboration between Bank BRI volunteers, BRI Life volunteers, and the affected communities helped the procurement and distribution process to ensure the aid met the specific needs of the affected region.
“We appreciate the support and collaboration of Bank BRI, which assisted in the procurement and distribution of aid. This spirit of mutual cooperation (gotong royong) serves as a strength to collectively help the community navigate the recovery period more effectively,” said Ade.
BRI Life hopes that this assistance will help meet the needs of the community and provide support throughout the post-earthquake recovery process.
