Regional spending for West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) in the 2026 Revised Regional Budget (APBD-P) is planned to reach approximately Rp 6 trillion. This figure is up by Rp 269 billion, or 4.69 percent, compared with the original 2026 regional budget.

The draft Revised General Budget Policy (KUA) and the Temporary Budget Priorities and Ceilings (PPAS) for the 2026 fiscal year were submitted by the NTB Provincial Government to the NTB Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) during a plenary session in Mataram on Tuesday (18/8/2026).

The document was handed over directly by NTB Deputy Governor Indah Dhamayanti Putri. The deputy governor, often called Dinda, said the budget revision is focused on three vital sectors: tackling extreme poverty, food security, and developing NTB as a world-class tourism destination.

“Although we are faced with fiscal constraints and various global challenges, the spirit to realise development that provides real benefits for the community must not wane,” Dinda stressed before members of the council.

Dinda emphasised that the limited fiscal space of the NTB Provincial Government must be answered with smart, careful and well-targeted budget management. Every rupiah of regional budget is required to deliver a multiplier effect for the welfare of residents.

In the draft Revised KUA-PPAS 2026, adjustments have been made to the structure of revenue, spending and regional financing. Locally generated revenue (PAD) is projected to rise by 1.56 percent, from Rp 3.02 trillion in the original budget to Rp 3.06 trillion.

“The transfer revenue item has also been boosted by 2.48 percent, from Rp 2.148 trillion to Rp 2.49 trillion,” Dinda said.

Meanwhile, the target for other legitimate regional revenue components has been corrected quite sharply by 42.54 percent. Its value fell from Rp 114 billion to Rp 56 billion.

On the spending side, total regional expenditure in the 2026 Revised Regional Budget is planned to reach around Rp 6 trillion. The increase amounts to Rp 269 billion, or 4.69 percent, compared with the original budget.

The draft budget also records a deficit of Rp 369 billion, which will later be covered through net regional financing.

“What we want is not merely a budget document that is administratively complete, but a budget policy that is able to answer the needs of the community,” Dinda added.

During the plenary session, Dinda also expressed condolences over the earthquake disaster that struck the people of East Nusa Tenggara (NTT). The NTB Provincial Government has sent initial assistance and emergency response as a form of empathy between fellow regions in Nusa Tenggara.

“We extend our condolences to our brothers and sisters in NTT. May they always be given fortitude in facing this,” she said.

NTB DPRD Speaker Baiq Isvie Rupaeda appreciated the solidarity shown by the NTB Provincial Government towards the victims of the magnitude 7.7 earthquake that killed at least 69 people. According to Isvie, such solidarity is natural because NTB also experienced the pain of a magnitude 7.0 earthquake in 2018.

Regarding the posture of the 2026 Revised Regional Budget, Isvie confirmed that the NTB DPRD will immediately follow up and discuss it in accordance with applicable regulations.

“The discussion between the executive and the legislature is expected to ensure that regional fiscal policy truly supports economic growth and increases community income,” Isvie concluded.
