NTB Provincial Government to Auction 29 Ex-Official Vehicles, Open to Public
The Provincial Government of West Nusa Tenggara (Pemprov NTB) will auction 29 used official vehicles (randis). The auction is being held because the vehicles have been replaced with 72 new electric cars leased for 2026 with a budget of Rp 14 billion. The auction is open to the public.
The Head of the Regional Asset Management Division at the NTB Financial and Asset Management Agency (BKAD), Hidayaturrahman, revealed that the auction process for the 29 used official vehicles has entered the stage of determining the limit value or base value of the vehicles. The vehicle assessment is being carried out by a team from the Directorate General of State Assets (DJKN) through the State Wealth and Auction Service Office (KPKNL). The DJKN team has conducted a physical assessment of all vehicles to be auctioned.
“The physical assessment by DJKN was last conducted on 21 May. It usually takes about a month for the results to come out. Because there are quite a lot of units, the process might take a bit longer. Once the base value is released, we will immediately process the administration to the KPKNL,” said the man familiarly called Dayat at the NTB Governor’s Office on Monday (22/6/2027).
The 29 used official vehicles to be auctioned in this first phase come from various backgrounds and conditions. These vehicles were previously operational vehicles for regional apparatus organisations (OPD). “There are vehicles from echelon 3 and echelon 2 with usage ages below 7 years,” said Dayat.
Additionally, the brands, types, and engine capacities of the vehicles being auctioned also vary. However, the majority are Toyota Innova models.
The NTB Provincial Government can generate locally generated revenue (PAD) through this auction of used official vehicles. Based on a rough simulation by Dayat, the provincial government could potentially earn billions of rupiah if the average limit value per vehicle is around Rp 150 million.
“Just imagine if an Innova is priced at Rp 150 million multiplied by 20 units, that’s already Rp 3 billion. We predict the total revenue from this auction could be in the range of more than Rp 3 billion,” Dayat explained. However, the exact unit price of the auctioned vehicles still awaits the official release from the DJKN. All auction proceeds will purely go into the regional treasury as revenue.
Dayat dismissed negative issues that often plague the NTB provincial government’s asset auction process. He guaranteed that this auction process will be transparent, accountable, and free from intervention or reserved bidders. According to regulations, Dayat stated, the auction will be conducted online through the official KPKNL application. This system closes any loophole for anyone to rig the winner.
“Anyone can participate, the general public is free to register. The only requirement is to create an official account on KPKNL. The process is open, we can see the bidding ourselves. So if anyone says this auction can be rigged, that’s a complete lie. Even I, as the seller, am absolutely prohibited from bidding,” Dayat stressed.
Dayat asked the public not to be discouraged if they are unsuccessful in the auction. He said the asset disposal process will not stop with just these 29 units. According to Dayat, there are still other official vehicles that are being used selectively for urgent operations across various agencies. In the future, all vehicles that no longer support work functions will be gradually withdrawn and auctioned in the second and third phases.
“This is only the first phase. There will be a second and third phase later. The principle is, if an OPD surrenders its assets because they are heavily damaged or no longer support their work functions, we will gradually auction them all. The important thing now is that we complete this first phase first. The target is that if not this month, then next month the auction can begin,” Dayat concluded.
