The NTB Provincial Government is preparing 320 free mudik tickets for residents who plan to return home by sea. The tickets will cover crossings from Gili Mas Port in Lembar, West Lombok, to Tanjung Perak Port in Surabaya, East Java.

NTB Provincial Government spokesperson Ahsanul Khalik, also known as Aka, said the free mudik program is being implemented in partnership with the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub). He invited residents of NTB to take advantage of the Lebaran 2026 mudik program.

“This is an opportunity and a relief in mudik costs for people who want to go to Java; it is more accessible,” Aka said in a statement on Saturday, 7 March 2026.

Ahsanul explained that the free sea-mudik program is a form of government attention to ease travel for people moving from Lombok to Surabaya. He hopes the program will help residents who wish to celebrate Lebaran with their families back home.

People who want to obtain the free sea mudik tickets can register now. Requirements include photocopies of identity documents in accordance with a KTP or family card. For families with more than one member, a photocopy of the family card suffices. Registration can be done by visiting the office in person, and cannot be delegated; you must bring the original IDs and photocopies (KTP and family card).

“Registration time and place is on Tuesday, 10 March 2026 from 09:00 WITA until completion at KSOP Class III Lembar (Lembar Port), West Lombok. We urge the public to register promptly and make the most of this opportunity,” he concluded.
