NTB Provincial Government Clarifies Rumours on Secretary Abdul Chair's Lineage
Mataram (ANTARA) - The West Nusa Tenggara Provincial Government has clarified information regarding rumours about the lineage of Secretary Abdul Chair, who has been claimed to be the grandson of the first NTB Governor, Raden Ario Muhammad Ruslan Tjakraningrat. Spokesperson for the NTB Provincial Government, Ahsanul Khalik, stated that the information circulating in the public domain did not originate from any statement by the individual concerned. “The NTB Government affirms that Abdul Chair has never conveyed to anyone, including the media, that he is the grandson of the first NTB Governor,” said Ahsanul in a statement in Mataram on Monday. The NTB Provincial Government’s clarification was issued to correct information that has developed in society and some recent reports deemed inaccurate. Ahsanul explained that the NTB Government has received clarification from the family of the first NTB Governor regarding the relevant lineage. Based on that explanation, he added, Raden Ario Muhammad Ruslan Tjakraningrat has direct descendants from three children who then produced the family line of grandchildren. The explanation from the family of the first NTB Governor serves as a reference in ensuring the accuracy of information about the lineage circulating in public. “Information stating that the NTB Secretary is the grandson of the first NTB Governor is inaccurate and needs to be corrected,” said Ahsanul, who serves as Head of the NTB Communication, Information, and Statistics Office. The NTB Government emphasised that it has no information regarding the origin of the mention of the first NTB Governor’s grandson and assures that it does not come from any official statement by the individual concerned. Ahsanul urged the public to always refer to verified information to avoid misunderstandings in the public sphere and to use official information as a common reference. He appreciated the attention from various parties to the accuracy of information and hoped that this clarification could serve as the end point for differing perceptions that have developed regarding the status of NTB Provincial Secretary Abdul Chair.
