NTB Police Strengthen Professional Collaboration with Prosecutors
Mataram (ANTARA) - The West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police are strengthening synergy and professionalism with the prosecutor’s office after legal issues involving senior officials from the two state institutions came to public attention.
“So, in the execution of work, collaboration, this (meeting) is very important. An old friend (the NTB High Prosecutor), we once served together in West Java. Hopefully, going forward, the synergy in NTB, which has been good so far, will be even better,” said NTB Police Chief, Inspector General Kalingga Rendra Raharja, in Mataram on Tuesday.
The NTB Police Chief conveyed this after meeting with NTB High Prosecutor Wahyudi at the NTB High Prosecutor’s Office building in Mataram City. During the meeting, the NTB Police Chief was accompanied by his senior officials.
“So, this is part of the Criminal Justice System. We have long been connected with good communication, whatever the form in handling cases,” said the NTB High Prosecutor.
He stated that the NTB High Prosecutor’s Office welcomed the purpose of the NTB Police Chief and his delegation’s visit. He also expressed the same hope, that the synergy and work professionalism between the institutions could run even better.
The High Prosecutor also reminded that collaboration between the two institutions is very important in carrying out law enforcement.
“Because the police handle investigation and inquiry, and the prosecutor handles prosecution. So, that role is very important,” he said.
