NTB Police’s Corruption Crime Unit (Tipidkor) raided the Office of the District Education, Culture, Youth and Sports Department (Dikbudpora) of Bima Regency on Thursday (5 March 2026). The raid is connected to a case of alleged extortion against teachers in remote areas involving the Head of PTK, identified by the initials IR.

“Yes, indeed, a number of officers came to the office this afternoon,” said IL, a senior Dikbudpora official in Bima, when contacted by detikBali on Thursday (5 March 2026).

According to IL, several officers wearing vests bearing Tipidkor and claiming to be from NTB Police went straight to the PTK head’s room.

“They entered, breaking into the PTK head’s room,” IL said.

IL said he did not know precisely what the officers did inside as the proceedings were conducted in private and he did not witness them directly.

“I watched from outside only,” he added.

Information obtained by detikBali indicated that the NTB Police Tipidkor team examined several documents in the PTK head’s room. Officers also seized some documents and one laptop from the room.

As reported previously, the special allowances for teachers in remote areas were allegedly subject to deductions. The Ditreskrimsus (Criminal Investigation Directorate) of NTB Police named the PTK head of the Dikbudpora Bima Regency, with the initials IR, as a suspect in a case of alleged extortion and illegal levies.

Director of Ditreskrimsus NTB Polda Kombes FX Endriadi said IR is suspected of extorting recipients of the Special Allowance for Remote Area Teachers (TKGDT) in Tambora District, Bima.

The suspect’s designation came after investigators in the Sub-Directorate Tipikor of Ditreskrimsus NTB Polda had secured at least two admissible pieces of evidence and had prepared the case.

“We have named IR as a suspect in the suspected criminal act of corruption involving extortion and illegal levies against primary school teachers receiving the remote-area allowance in Tambora District, Bima,” Endriadi said on Friday (27 February 2026).

Endriadi explained the extortion practice is believed to have run from 2019 to 2025. A total of 18 primary school teachers recorded as recipients of the allowances were victims.

In preliminary investigations, the deductions from the TKGDT occurred on a monthly and quarterly basis.
