NTB Police officially dismiss Kompol Yogi from the police force
Mataram (ANTARA) - The Regional Police of West Nusa Tenggara has officially imposed a Dishonourable Discharge (PTDH) on Kompol I Made Yogi Purusa Utama from the police. Police Public Relations Chief Kombes Pol. Mohammad Kholid in Mataram, on Thursday, said that the harshest sanction under the Polri Profession Ethics Code (KEPP) was carried out this morning in a formal ceremony at Lapangan Bhara Daksa, NTB Police. “So, besides awarding several police personnel, there was also a PTDH ceremony for Kompol Yogi, who is currently in court proceedings,” he said. He added that the PTDH for Kompol Yogi, who is implicated in the death of his former subordinate, Brigadier Muhammad Nurhadi, is a decision of the Polri ethics panel that has final and binding legal force. “There is already a letter notifying the dishonourable discharge, and today the ceremony was held,” Kholid said. For Ipda I Gde Aris Chandra Widianto, who was also involved in the case, he explained that the PTDH decree resulting from the Polri ethics panel is in hand. “There has already been the panel’s decision; the process will proceed with the administrative discharge letter,” he said. Yogi and Aris Chandra are two of three suspects in the death of Brigadier Nurhadi at one of the lodgings on Gili Trawangan. The defendants’ case is now before the Mataram District Court, with the latest hearing agenda the reading of the defence notes. In the indictment, prosecutors asked the judge to impose an eight-year sentence on Aris Chandra for proven heavy assault and obstruction of justice. Meanwhile, Yogi faces a stiffer sentence of fourteen years in prison for murder and obstruction of justice.
