NTB Police Examine Suspect Misri in Brigadier Nurhadi Death Case
Mataram (ANTARA) - West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police investigators examined suspect Misri Puspita Sari on Tuesday to complete the investigation into the death of Brigadier Muhammad Nurhadi. Head of Sub-Directorate III of the NTB Police General Criminal Investigation Directorate, AKBP Catur Erwin Setiawan, stated that Misri was summoned for an additional examination. Investigators also scheduled an additional examination for Melani Putri, a witness who accompanied suspect Gde Aris Chandra Widianto on Gili Trawangan. Catur noted that Melani has not yet complied with the summons as she is currently out of town. Regarding why Misri has not yet been tried like the two other suspects, Gde Aris Chandra Widianto and Made Yogi Purusa Utama, Catur said this is part of the investigation strategy. He added that the cassation process for Made Yogi and Aris Chandra is still ongoing. Catur confirmed that the criminal charge against Misri remains unchanged, namely Article 221 of the Criminal Code concerning obstruction of justice. Brigadier Muhammad Nurhadi was found dead, having drowned in a pool at a private lodging on 16 April 2025. At the time of the incident, the victim was with Gde Aris Chandra Widianto, Made Yogi Purusa Utama, Misri Puspita Sari, and Melani Putri. An autopsy revealed multiple injuries from abuse on the victim’s body. Investigators named Made Yogi and Aris Chandra as the perpetrators. Aris Chandra was found guilty of severe abuse resulting in death and was sentenced to eight years in prison at the first instance, later reduced to three years on appeal. Prosecutors have filed a cassation appeal against Aris Chandra’s sentence, while the cassation for Made Yogi’s verdict was filed by the defendant.
