The leadership at the helm of the West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Provincial Police has changed. National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo has rotated Inspector General Edy Murbowo from his position as NTB Police Chief, along with several other provincial police chiefs.

The job rotation is outlined in Telegram Letter No. ST/960/V/KEP./2026 dated 7 May 2026, signed by the National Police Chief’s Assistant for Human Resources (As SDM Kapolri) Inspector General Anwar.

The NTB Provincial Police’s Public Relations Head, Commissioner Mohammad Kholid, confirmed the change in the NTB Police Chief position.

“Yes, that’s correct,” Kholid told detikBali on Saturday (9/5/2026).

Inspector General Edy Murbowo has been transferred as a Senior Officer of the NTB Provincial Police in preparation for entering retirement. The position of NTB Police Chief will next be filled by Inspector General Kalingga Rendra Raharja, who currently serves as Head of the Community Development Corps (Kakorbinmas).

Kholid said he has not yet been informed of the schedule for the handover of the NTB Police Chief position.

“Still waiting for the handover schedule at Police Headquarters,” he said.

Edy Murbowo officially assumed the role of NTB Police Chief on Monday (29/12/2025), replacing Hadi Gunawan. That change was based on Telegram Letter No. ST/2781/XII/KEP./2025 dated 15 December 2025.

Prior to serving as NTB Police Chief, Inspector General Edy Murbowo held the position of Head of the Community Development Corps of the National Police’s Water and Air Police.
