NTB PBB Branch Declares Leadership Suspension Decree Invalid

There is actually nothing we need to say. However, due to media reports regarding the decree suspending the NTB PBB branch, we need to clarify to prevent any inappropriate steering of public opinion.

Mataram (ANTARA) - The Regional Leadership Council (DPW) of the Star and Moon Party (PBB) in West Nusa Tenggara has affirmed that the decision letter (SK) suspending the DPW PBB NTB leadership under Chair Nadirah is invalid.

“There is actually nothing we need to say. However, due to media reports regarding the SK suspending DPW PBB NTB, we need to clarify to prevent any inappropriate steering of public opinion,” stated the Regional Secretary of the DPW Star and Moon Party (PBB) in West Nusa Tenggara, Muhlis Hasim, in Mataram on Tuesday.

He said that the DPW PBB NTB has chosen from the outset not to get involved in the dynamics occurring at the Central Leadership Council (DPP) level and to remain focused on carrying out the party’s agenda in the region.

According to him, Gugum Ridho Putra and Yuri Kemal Fadlullah remain the General Chair and General Secretary of the DPP PBB until a different decision is issued by the Ministry of Law.

“For us, the legitimate leadership is that recognised in the SK from the Ministry of Law. If there is a suspension SK not signed by the legitimate party, then it is procedurally flawed and null and void by law,” he said.

He also emphasised that the DPW PBB NTB remains loyal to the party by adhering to applicable legal provisions.

“We comply with decisions recognised by the government. Whoever the legitimate leader is according to the state, that is where we stand,” he stated.

“This marks the end of the polemics both at the DPP and DPW levels,” he added.

He also urged all PBB officials and cadres in NTB not to be influenced by internal dynamics and to continue carrying out party activities.

“The DPW PBB NTB continues to operate as usual, including the formation of leadership structures down to the district and village levels,” said Muhlis.

The SK was signed by the General Chair of the DPP PBB, Gugum Ridho Putra, along with General Secretary Ali Amran Tanjung.

Junaidi Arif stated that he had received the decision on 16 April 2026 and described it as within the authority of the general chair based on the party congress results.
