NTB High Prosecutor's Office Reschedules Zulkieflimansyah's Examination for Next Week
The High Prosecutor’s Office (Kejati) of West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) has rescheduled the questioning of former NTB Governor Zulkieflimansyah as part of an investigation into alleged corruption in the organisation of the 2023 Lombok Sumbawa Motocross Competition. The questioning is scheduled for next week after Zulkieflimansyah twice failed to answer investigators’ summonses.
“Next week,” Harun said briefly on Wednesday (15 July 2026).
Harun did not detail the exact schedule of Zulkieflimansyah’s questioning, only saying that the questioning to be held next week would be in accordance with the investigators’ summons letter.
“A summons,” he said.
Previously, the Assistant for Special Crimes (Aspidsus) at the NTB High Prosecutor’s Office, Muh Zulkifli Said, revealed that Zulkieflimansyah had twice failed to appear for questioning.
“Yes, there will certainly be a new (questioning) schedule again,” Zulkifli said on Tuesday (14 July 2026).
A few days earlier, the NTB High Prosecutor’s Office also cancelled taking the statement of the former Head of the NTB Tourism Office, Jamaluddin Malady. The Head of the Government Bureau at the NTB Regional Secretariat was not questioned despite having come to the NTB High Prosecutor’s Office because he was not accompanied by his legal counsel.
Jamaluddin had previously been questioned several times by investigators, most recently on Monday (6 July 2026). Not only Jamaluddin, but a number of former officials within the NTB Provincial Government have also been questioned.
These include the former Inspector of the NTB Inspectorate, Ibnu Salim; the former Head of the NTB Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency (BPKAD), Samsul Rizal; and the former Regional Secretary (Sekda) of NTB, Lalu Gita Ariadi.
The 2023 Lombok Sumbawa Motocross Competition was held at the Tohpati Sayang-Sayang Circuit in Mataram City, with a total budget reaching Rp 24 billion.
The funds were channelled through the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy during the transitional period led by Acting Governor of NTB, Lalu Gita Ariadi.
The event was organised directly by the NTB Tourism Office. However, a significant portion of the Rp 24 billion budget is alleged to have been misused. Based on the findings, there were overpayments to service providers and tax underpayments amounting to Rp 2.6 billion.
The details are as follows: payments to contractors amounted to Rp 1.2 billion, tax underpayments of Rp 404 million, a payment discrepancy involving the Indonesian Motor Association (IMI) of Rp 601 million, and tax underpayments from IMI NTB of Rp 356 million. In addition, an excess in official travel budget of Rp 6.2 million was also discovered.
