Mataram (ANTARA) — The High Prosecutor’s Office of West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) is handling three suspected corruption cases related to the use of budget funds through a bank owned by the West Nusa Tenggara Provincial Government.

Muh. Zulkifli Said, Assistant for Special Crimes at the NTB High Prosecutor’s Office, confirmed in Mataram on Tuesday that the regional bank is on the list of witnesses being intensively examined in the handling of the three cases.

“Yes, that is correct,” he said.

Zulkifli explained that the first case relates to suspected corruption in the provision of a working capital loan worth Rp11 billion to PT Carsten Group Indonesia in 2023. That case has entered the investigation stage.

Meanwhile, the third case is still at the inquiry stage. It concerns suspected corruption of sponsorship funds for the 2023 Motocross Grand Prix (MXGP) held on the islands of Lombok and Sumbawa, with the budget sourced from the regional bank.

Zulkifli did not deny that there are links between the three cases. However, he was not yet willing to disclose further details about the connections between the cases, as they remain part of the investigation material.

“That is core case material, we cannot disclose it yet. I will open the data later,” he said.

The NTB High Prosecutor’s Office is also coordinating with an audit institution to calculate the potential state losses in the two cases.

According to Zulkifli, the NTB High Prosecutor’s Office is partnering with the NTB Regional Office of the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) as the audit institution for the two cases that have entered the investigation stage.

However, when asked whether the selection of the BPK was related to findings in the 2025 Audit Result Report (LHP), Zulkifli declined to give further explanation.
