NTB High Prosecutor's Office Collects Data and Documents Regarding West Lombok Regency's Masaro Project

The West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) High Prosecutor’s Office is collecting data and documents related to the Zero Waste Management (Masaro) project in West Lombok. The procurement of the waste processing machinery is suspected of involving corruption, following reports from the public.

“The investigators have already obtained (documents),” said the Head of the Legal Information Section of the NTB High Prosecutor’s Office, Muhammad Harun Al Rasyid, on Monday (21/09/2026).

According to information, one head of department within the West Lombok Regency Government has been questioned by investigators. However, Harun could not yet confirm this.

“As far as I know, there has not been (witness examination) yet, only data collection. (Witness examination) will occur during the investigation stage. They may only be submitting documents. As far as I know, they are only collecting data,” Harint explained.

Harun was also reluctant to disclose the specific details regarding the alleged misappropriation in the procurement. “We will see about that later,” he said.

The waste processing machinery is located in Senteluk Village, Batu Layar District, West Lombok, NTB. The procurement project utilised the 2025 Unplanned Expenditure (BTT) budget, amounting to approximately Rp 21 billion. The procurement process did not undergo a tender process but was instead conducted through direct appointment (PL).
