The NTB Provincial Office of the Ministry of Hajj and Umroh (Kanwil Kemenhaj) has assured that the cost of the Hajj pilgrimage (Bipih) for 2026 will not increase, despite a surge in global aviation fuel (Avtur) prices triggered by the conflict in the Middle East.

Head of Kanwil Kemenhaj NTB, Lalu Muhammad Amin, emphasised that Bipih remains at Rp 54.1 million. “So there is no increase. It will not be passed on to the Hajj pilgrims,” he stated via WhatsApp on Tuesday (14/4/2026).

Amin said all Hajj pilgrims in NTB are urged to focus on preparations for departure, covering health, administration, and manasik aspects. “All Hajj pilgrims should remain focused on readiness for departure,” he added.

Kanwil Kemenhaj NTB is currently handling technical preparations for the departure of NTB pilgrims. He confirmed that the distribution of Hajj equipment is being carried out in stages. “All pilgrims’ suitcases have been received and are currently in the process of being shipped to the pilgrims,” Amin explained.

The equipment includes large suitcases, cabin luggage, passport bags, and pilgrim identities to be used during the journey and the performance of rituals in the Holy Land.

Amin stated that the number of prospective Hajj pilgrims from NTB is 5,798 people. According to the scheduled plan, NTB pilgrims will begin entering the Hajj dormitory on 21 April 2026 at 06:00 WITA. 840 West Lombok Hajj Pilgrims Ready to Fly to the Holy Land

As many as 840 Hajj pilgrims from West Lombok are confirmed ready to fly to Mecca in the Holy Land. The total pilgrims are divided into three flying groups (kloters), with the first departure scheduled for Thursday, 23 April 2026.

“Today is the strengthening and final preparation for the pilgrims who are about to depart. So we provide technical guidance on how and when to leave from home. Everything has been scheduled,” said Head of the NTB Provincial Hajj Office, Muhammad Amin, in West Lombok on Tuesday (14/4/2026).

Amin said all needs of the pilgrims in West Lombok, from suitcases and uniforms to travel routes, have been fully prepared. “All facilities have been prepared by us, suitcases and uniform clothing. Our pilgrims are ready,” he said.

According to Amin, there are significant differences in this year’s Hajj organisation in West Lombok, including an increase in the number of pilgrims and more thorough preparations compared to the previous year.

“Our preparations are earlier, our pilgrims are more organised, and the manasik guidance has been conducted well in advance, all vaccinations, health checks as well,” he explained.

Amin added that special attention has also been prepared for the oldest pilgrim from West Lombok. The 89-year-old pilgrim will receive extra accompaniment during the pilgrimage.

Meanwhile, the Regent of West Lombok, Lalu Ahmad Zaini (LAZ), reminded the pilgrims to conserve energy and stay focused in performing the Hajj, as they are in the early batches.

“Increase preparations, especially since West Lombok pilgrims are departing in the first batch, so the adaptation in Mecca will be lengthy. Do not overdo optional worship at the expense of the obligations at the peak,” he advised.
