NTB Hajj Departure Preparations Reach 100 Percent Readiness
Mataram (ANTARA) - The NTB Regional Office of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has confirmed that all preparations for the departure of prospective Hajj pilgrims from Lombok Embarkation to the Holy Land are 100 percent complete.
The Head of the NTB Regional Office of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, Lalu Muhammad Amin, stated that the total number of prospective Hajj pilgrims from NTB to be sent this year is 5,798 people, divided into 15 batches.
“The number of prospective Hajj pilgrims based on NTB’s quota is 5,798 people, plus 80 accompanying personnel, making a total of 5,846 people to be sent,” he said at the Hajj Dormitory in Mataram City on Monday.
He added that out of the total prospective Hajj pilgrims, 190 are in the elderly category, aged over 65 years. However, not all of them are in declining health.
He emphasised that the first batch from Lombok Embarkation comes from East Lombok Regency with 387 people and will enter the Hajj Dormitory on 21 April at 06:00 WITA, then be flown to the Holy Land on 22 April at 14:30 WITA.
“All preparations for the Hajj departure from Lombok Embarkation have been completed well and smoothly, without any obstacles,” he explained.
To anticipate crowds of well-wishers, both at the Hajj Dormitory and Lombok Airport, they have prepared streaming broadcasts via video, so families of the pilgrims can know about their departing relatives.
“So, just like previous Hajj seasons, we provide live streaming for families so they can watch. They just need to watch the live streaming without forcing entry into the Hajj dormitory,” he said.
