NTB Exports Plunge 11.44%
The export value of Nusa Tenggara Barat (NTB) plunged 11.44% in June 2026 compared to the previous year. According to records from the NTB Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the province’s export value in June 2026 reached only US$83 million.
“The export value of NTB in June 2026 decreased compared to the same period last year. This decline was caused by a drop in non-mining exports in the copper group from industrial smelters as well as the fish and shrimp group,” said Head of BPS NTB, Wahyudin, on Monday (3/8/2026).
Wahyudin stated that the largest export commodity group in June 2026 was copper at 88.36%, followed by jewellery/gems at 9.47%, fish and shrimp at 1.55%, salt at 0.28%, processed meat and fish at 0.20%, electrical machinery/equipment at 0.14%, and other commodities at 0.01%.
Meanwhile, by country, the highest export value was recorded to Thailand at US$47 million or 57%, followed by South Korea at US$20 million (24.76%), Hong Kong at US$7 million (8.61%), China at US$5.6 million (6.84%), the United States at US$1.4 million (1.70%), Australia at US$681,000 (0.82%), Japan at US$80,000 (0.10%), India at US$56,000 (0.07%), Vietnam at US$32,000 (0.04%), and other countries at US$52,000 (0.06%).
In addition to exports, the value of NTB’s imports also experienced a decline compared to the same period the previous year. This decrease was influenced by a reduction in imports of raw materials and capital goods.
“The commodity groups that experienced the highest decline in imports were machinery or mechanical equipment, rubber and rubber goods, as well as electrical machinery and equipment,” explained Wahyudin.
Based on BPS data, the largest imports originated from Japan at 53.34%, Canada (14.50%), the United States (12.67%), Singapore (10.59%), Australia (6.83%), and China (2.08%).
