The Criminal Investigation Directorate of the National Police (Bareskrim Polri) has directly conducted confrontational examinations between drug trafficker Koh Erwin and former head of the Narcotics Investigation Unit at Bima City Police, AKP Malaungi.

Brigadier General Eko Hadi Santoso, Director of Narcotic Crime Investigation at Bareskrim Polri, stated that the direct examination was conducted by investigators following Koh Erwin’s arrest on Thursday, 26 February.

“He is currently undergoing examination at Bareskrim for confrontational testimony,” he told reporters on Friday, 27 February.

Eko stated that a total of five suspects from the drug distribution network originating from the NTB Regional Police have been brought to Bareskrim Polri for confrontational examination. The five suspects are Irfan, Herman, Yusril, Anita, and Ais.

Through this examination, investigators will delve deeper into the drug distribution network and financial flows. This includes the amount of funds transferred from Koh Erwin to Malaungi.

“This is confusing, everyone speaks their own version. I’m confronting them, and it becomes clear. You say this, he says that—ultimately, which is the truth? That’s strengthened by evidence. Not just testimony,” he explained.

Previously, Bareskrim Polri had designated former Bima City Police Chief AKBP Didik Putra as a suspect for drug abuse.

Didik was found guilty of possessing a white suitcase containing narcotics that he had entrusted to Aipda Dianita in Tangerang, Banten.

The narcotics evidence recovered included crystal methamphetamine weighing 16.3 grams, 49 ecstasy pills and 2 residual pills (23.5 grams), 19 Alprazolam pills, 2 Happy Five pills, and 5 grams of ketamine.

Didik also tested positive for drug use based on hair follicle drug test results conducted at a laboratory.

In addition to this case, Didik was also designated as a suspect for receiving proceeds from narcotics crimes by the NTB Regional Police on Monday, 16 February.

Didik is alleged to have received Rp2.8 billion in drug proceeds from trafficker Koh Erwin through his subordinate AKP Malaungi, who served as head of the Narcotics Investigation Unit at Bima City Police. The funds were received by Didik during the period from June to November 2025.

Didik has since been dismissed with dishonour (PTDH) from the National Police and is currently detained at Bareskrim’s detention facility.
