Prosecutors presented NTB DPRD member Abdul Rahim, alias Bram, as a witness in the gratifikasi “ghost money” case implicating three NTB DPRD members. The defendants are Hamdan Kasim, Indra Jaya Usman, and Muhammad Nashib Ikroman, alias Acip. The Commission IV member from the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P) faction admitted that he was once offered Rp 150 million by another NTB DPRD member, Suhaimi. “My friend Suhaimi came to my private home,” Bram said during the session at the Mataram Corruption Court (Tipikor) on Monday night (13/4/2026). Suhaimi visited him in April 2025. At that time, Suhaimi said there would be a programme allocated to newly elected 2024 NTB DPRD members, directed by NTB Governor Lalu Muhammad Iqbal. The programme was valued at Rp 2 billion per NTB DPRD member, consisting of 10 proposed work packages worth Rp 200 million each. These work packages were related to the Desa Berdaya programme. “That very night, I sent my data (by name by address) via WhatsApp to Suhaimi,” he stated. Two months after that meeting, Suhaimi visited Bram again. During that meeting, Bram said he was asked to ignore the project and was offered money in its place, amounting to Rp 150 million. “He said, let’s set aside this programme for now. How about I give you some money,” Bram quoted Suhaimi as saying. Bram rejected the offer from his close associate. He admitted to being afraid because the proposed programme had already been communicated to the public and he was confident it would be implemented in 2026. “I have already informed the community that these are programmes we will carry out, which we will execute in our respective villages,” he said. The Rp 150 million offered by Suhaimi was rejected. According to him, if he accepted the money, the programme would disappear. “After that, Mr Suhaimi immediately left me that night,” he said. After that meeting, Bram said there were no further discussions about the programme with Suhaimi. “None,” he emphasised.
