Mataram (ANTARA) - West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Deputy Governor Indah Dhamayanti Putri has urged regional heads and regional apparatus organisations (OPD) to convey real issues on the ground, rather than mere normative reports.

“I do not need good reports on paper. I want to know the problems occurring in villages and districts so that solutions can be found together,” said Indah during the Pre-Musrenbang event in Mataram on Wednesday.

She stated that future development challenges cannot be resolved with partial approaches, thus requiring a shift in mindset from competition to collaboration.

“The province and districts/cities form a single system. If not synchronised, even the largest programmes will not have maximum impact,” she said.

She targets reducing extreme poverty to near zero per cent through various programmes, including strengthening empowered village initiatives implemented in a coordinated manner between the provincial and district/city governments.

Indah also highlighted the persistence of sectoral egos in development planning, which could lead to programme overlaps and budget wastage.

“Long-term development plans must serve as guidelines aligned with field conditions,” she said.

Efforts to improve human resource quality are being carried out through addressing stunting, extreme poverty, and unemployment based on data to ensure more targeted interventions.

The NTB Provincial Government targets reducing the poverty rate to single digits evenly through precise planning, data support, and cross-sectoral collaboration.

“Planning must not stop as a document but must be felt as benefits by the community,” she said.
