NTB Attorney General's Office Assistant Public Prosecutor Changes, Rabani Halawa Officially Inaugurated
The Assistant Public Prosecutor (Aspidum) at the West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) High Prosecutor’s Office (Kejati) has officially changed. The position is now held by Rabani Meryanto Halawa, former Head of the Rokan Hulu District Prosecutor’s Office (Kajari) in Riau.
Rabani replaces Irwan Setiawan Wahyuhafi, who was transferred to the Attorney General’s Office as Head of the Subdirectorate of Execution and Examination in Directorate A of the Deputy Attorney General for Criminal Affairs.
The inauguration and oath-taking ceremony took place at the R Soeprapto Hall of the NTB High Prosecutor’s Office on Tuesday (28/4/2026).
NTB High Prosecutor Wahyudi stated that the job rotation is a common occurrence within an organisation.
“This is part of the organisational dynamics aimed at maintaining performance continuity, strengthening institutional structures, and improving the quality of services and law enforcement,” Wahyudi said.
After being inaugurated, Rabani Meryanto Halawa claimed to have received emphasis from the leadership to resolve cases that have captured public attention.
“The leadership emphasised interesting cases earlier. Of course, we will carry out our duties according to our authority and institution,” he said.
Among the cases drawing attention are the drug case involving former Bima City Police Chief Didik Putra Kuncoro and ex-Bima City Narcotics Unit Head Malaungi. In addition, the murder case of a female university student at Pantai Nipah in North Lombok, and the murder of Brigadier Esco Faska Rely.
“I will study all of them, of course we will give our best,” he emphasised.
