Now a Suspect, Piche Kota Denies Involvement in Alleged Rape Case
Singer Petrus Yohannes Debrito Armando Jaga Kota, known as Piche Kota, has been named a suspect in an alleged rape case involving a minor in Belu, East Nusa Tenggara. He has spoken out about the designation as a suspect.
Piche Kota denies involvement in the rape case. However, he stated that he would respect the legal process.
“Regarding the news that has been circulating up to this day, I am still following the existing legal process,” said Piche Kota in a statement on his official Instagram, seen on Monday (February 23, 2026), quoted from detikHot.
“Therefore, I would like to explain that what is being alleged and attributed to me is not true,” he continued, providing clarification.
He did not elaborate further on the case that befell him. He reiterated that the accusations against him were not true.
“I am speaking out now for my own justice, and I have never done what I am accused of. I think that is enough for me to say. Thank you. God bless,” he concluded.
On the same occasion, he thanked those who continued to support and provide assistance to him.
It is known that Piche Kota has been named a suspect in the alleged rape case in Belu, East Nusa Tenggara. He is suspected of raping a minor along with two other people, namely RM and RS.
The three were reported to the Belu Police on January 13, 2026, with report number LP/B/12/I/2026/SPKT/Polres Belu/Polda NTT. The rape allegedly occurred on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at around one of the hotels in Atambua City, Belu Regency. The victim is a 16-year-old high school student.
