Novotel plants trees for children

YOGYAKARTA: Yogyakarta's Novotel Hotel, an Accor four-star rated hotel located on Jl. Sudirman, carried out community work at the state-run SDN I elementary school in Krapyak, Sleman, on Friday as part of its routine social programs.

Participated in by the hotel's General Manager Bruno Guilloux and Deputy General Manager Zulkarnain, the work involved cleaning up around the school, planting trees, providing free medical checkups, and supplying books and writing equipment to the 280 students attending the school.

"We call this event 'A Tree for A Child', and hope that it will help the school increase the quality of the education it provides while at the same time assisting members of the community in need," the hotel's public relation manager, Erny Kusmastuti, said. --JP
