Novotel best in Sumatra

JAKARTA (JP): French-based hotel management firm Accor Asia Pacific announced on Wednesday that its Novotel Hotel Bukittinggi, located in West Sumatra, was named as best hotel in Sumatra by Tourism Asia Magazine.

Accor said that in its November 1998 issue, Tourism Asia Magazine, an international magazine focusing on the travel industry, named Novotel Bukittinggi the best hotel in Sumatra because of its uniquely and traditionally designed building which "captures the eyes of both domestic and worldwide tourists".

According to the magazine, Novotel Bukittinggi successfully provides a perfect place to relax and experience the enchanting life of Western Sumatra.

Accor, the largest hotel chain in Indonesia, currently operates 26 hotels with 4,595 rooms in Indonesia under the Sofitel, Novotel, Mercure and Ibis hotels. (gis)
