In total, seven Apple products have officially had their sales discontinued as they are replaced by newer-generation models. The stoppage covers various Apple device categories, from iPhone, iPad, MacBook, to external monitors. This policy is a common practice by Apple whenever new devices are released. Typically, the older models are pulled from the market to make way for the newer generation. Apple actually released the MacBook Pro M5 in October 2025, about five months ago. However, the company has now removed the lowest storage option, meaning buyers must opt for models with a minimum capacity of 1 TB. This decision automatically makes the starting price of that generation’s MacBook Pro higher than before. In addition to the five-month-old products, Apple has also halted sales of several of its products that are a year old or that were launched last year. Some of these products include iPhone 16e, MacBook Air M4, MacBook Pro M4 Pro/M4 Max, and iPad Air M3. Thus, it is reasonable to expect Apple to discontinue sales of older products whose appearance is more or less the same as the newer generation.
