JAKARTA – The implementation of Hari Bebas Kendaraan Bermotor (HBKB) or Car Free Day (CFD) on Jalan HR Rasuna Said in South Jakarta on Sunday (10/5/2026) is expected to attract a significant number of visitors. For this reason, the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) has prepared several parking pockets in the vicinity of the event location.
The Rasuna Said CFD will run from 05:30 WIB to 10:00 WIB as part of the proclamation of Jakarta’s 499th Anniversary.
For those wishing to attend by private vehicle, several parking locations are available around the Kuningan and Rasuna Said areas with substantial capacity for both cars and motorcycles.
Parking at Pasar Festival and GOR Soemantri: capacity 305 cars and 437 motorcycles
Parking at Rasuna Epicentrum area: capacity 850 cars and 685 motorcycles
Setiabudi One: capacity 310 cars and 450 motorcycles
Gedung Nyi Ageng Serang: capacity 215 cars and 435 motorcycles
In addition to preparing parking areas, Dishub DKI Jakarta is implementing traffic engineering during the event. Drivers who usually pass through the Rasuna Said, Kuningan, and Casablanca areas are urged to adjust their routes from the morning.
This is because Jalan HR Rasuna Said is one of the main corridors connecting South Jakarta, Central Jakarta, and East Jakarta.
The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government states that the Rasuna Said CFD is an initial step in expanding car-free zones in the capital. DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung said that in the future, Rasuna Said will be prepared as one of the new CFD points like Sudirman-Thamrin.
According to him, the addition of CFD locations is intended to give the public more options for open spaces to exercise or engage in activities with family on weekends.
Dishub DKI Jakarta also encourages the public to utilise public transportation to reduce vehicle density around the CFD location. Several TransJakarta and LRT Jabodebek services are confirmed to operate normally during the event.
