Note: These are the Flight and Train Ticket Discounts During Lebaran 2026
The government is offering flight, train, ship and toll road ticket discounts for Indonesian citizens during the Lebaran 2026 period.
Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) explained that the government discounts are eagerly anticipated by the public, regardless of the amount offered.
“These discounts are certainly anticipated, whatever the discount amount,” said AHY during a press conference at the KSP Office in Jakarta on Wednesday, 11 March 2026.
AHY explained that PSO Pelni ferries are offering a 30 per cent discount for all economy-class ferry routes. The ferry discount will run for 26 days, from 11 March 2026 to 5 April 2026, with a target of reaching 445,534 passengers.
“Meanwhile, the railway discount is also 30 per cent for all economy trains. This runs from 14 March to 29 March, so a 16-day period, targeting 1.2 million passengers,” he said.
The government is also providing a flight ticket discount of 17 to 18 per cent. However, AHY claimed this nominal discount increased from last year’s Lebaran, which was only around 13-14 per cent.
“There are several other elements that also become reducing factors, so the domestic economy-class flight ticket prices will hopefully be more affordable for the public. This applies for roughly 16 days from 14 March to 29 March for ticket purchases starting from 10 February,” said AHY.
“Previously this was also socialised to the public. But it’s good if we can reinforce this further through this forum. The target is 3.3 million passengers,” he added.
For ferry crossing tariff discounts, 14 ASDP ferry terminals are implementing a 100 per cent discount on port service fees.
“Or equivalent, if aggregated, it amounts to approximately 21.9 per cent for the period from 12 to 31 March. This can be seen once again in routes such as Merak-Bakauheni, Ketapang-Gilimanuk, Kayangan-Pototano, and others. Hopefully this will also provide relief to the public,” said AHY.
Meanwhile, for toll tariffs, the government is offering a 30 per cent discount on 25 toll road sections.
“The periods are 15 and 16, as well as 26 and 27. Once again, this reflects our spirit to alleviate congestion. A discount is given on these dates so we can ease traffic congestion and prevent all vehicles from concentrating during peak periods,” he concluded.
