The peak return traffic for Lebaran 2026 is predicted to occur twice in a week, as stated by the President Director of PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk, Rivan A. Purwantono. Quoting Antara, Rivan outlined the following predictions for the return flow during Lebaran 2026 or Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah. “Our prediction for the return flow is on 24 March,” said Rivan during a press briefing at the Jasa Marga Management Training Centre building, Jalan Akses Tol Jatiasih, Bekasi, West Java. Subsequently, the peak return traffic for Lebaran 2026 is predicted to occur again on 28-29 March 2026. During that period, traffic conditions are expected to be lighter. Toll road users can also take advantage of a 30 percent toll discount during that time. “It is arranged with good planning at the right time. Look at the road density so that you can truly enjoy the return flow, safe arrival at your destination,” Rivan said. “You can return on the 25th, 26th, 27th up to the 29th so that this peak flow can be spread across each day,” he added. Aan emphasised that spreading out travel times is key to maintaining smoothness, comfort, and safety for all citizens. With two peak return flow waves on 24 March and 28-29 March 2026, the government urges mudik participants to plan their journeys wisely. Returning earlier on 25-27 March could be an option to avoid traffic jams and also enjoy the toll discount. Especially for those undertaking journeys of more than a day from their hometowns.
