Note the Locations! List of Parking Areas for National Dhikr and Prayer Event at Monas
The Metro Jaya Regional Police Traffic Directorate (Ditlantas Polda Metro Jaya) is preparing dozens of parking locations for the public and worshippers attending the National Dhikr and Prayer event to celebrate the 81st Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia at the National Monument (Monas) area, Central Jakarta, on Saturday (1/8/2026). This structured provision of parking areas is intended to support the smooth mobility of participants while minimising the potential for traffic congestion around the heart of the capital.
According to official information from Ditlantas Polda Metro Jaya via the X account @TMCPoldaMetro, primary parking locations have been grouped based on the departure regions of the participants’ contingents. In addition to the three main locations, Ditlantas Polda Metro Jaya has also stationed 21 supporting parking areas scattered across strategic areas in Central Jakarta.
As the spiritual event is expected to attract tens of thousands of visitors, the police project a surge in vehicle volume and will implement situational traffic engineering around the Monas area. Consequently, the general public travelling through Central Jakarta is advised to anticipate their routes by choosing alternative paths to avoid traffic build-up.
“Road users are requested to always obey traffic signs and follow the instructions of police officers on duty to maintain collective comfort and smoothness,” stated the Polda Metro Jaya advisory. Meanwhile, for the attendees of the National Dhikr and Prayer, the committee urges discipline in parking vehicles in the official allocated areas according to their respective regions to support the security and order of the 81st Independence Day celebrations.
The Head of the Jakarta Transportation Agency, Syafrin Liputo, revealed that his department has prepared traffic arrangements to anticipate congestion during the National Dhikr agenda. In preparation for the 80th Independence Day, PB Jatma Aswaja will hold the National Dhikr and Pledge of State Defence at Istiqlal Mosque on Sunday (10/8). Multi-layered security is being deployed around the National Monument area to guard the National Dhikr and Prayer activities.
