SOLO — As the extended holidays for Nyepi Day and Eid al-Fitr approach, issuance and renewal services for driving licences (SIM) will be temporarily suspended in accordance with national holiday schedules.

The Indonesian National Police have announced that SIM services at Satpas offices, SIM kiosks, and mobile SIM units will be closed during the designated period.

Kasubdit Regident Ditlantas Polda Jateng, Deputy Commander Prianggo Malau, stated that in observance of the National Holiday and Joint Leave for the Hindu New Year of Saka 1948 and Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijri, SIM issuance services will be temporarily suspended.

The service closure applies across various regions, including driving licence services at police stations, shopping centres, and mobile units, all following the national holiday schedule.

After the holiday period concludes, SIM issuance services will reopen on 25 March 2026, when the public can resume applying for or renewing driving licences.

With a dispensation in place, driving licences that expire between 18-24 March may still be renewed after services resume, specifically between 25-31 March 2026.

Licence holders need only visit Satpas or a renewal service after 25 March and can renew their SIM without undergoing a fresh application process.

Members of the public are advised to check their driving licence expiry dates before the extended holiday period. With proper planning, vehicle documentation procedures can be completed without difficulty.
