Note: Puncak One-Way System for Islamic New Year Holiday Tomorrow
Bogor Police will implement a one-way traffic system on Jalan Raya Puncak tomorrow. The one-way system is being enacted for the national holiday commemorating the Islamic New Year, 1 Muharram 1448 Hijriah. “For tomorrow’s traffic engineering, we are anticipating using the same pattern, because tomorrow is a holiday for 1 Muharram, so it is possible that the flow of vehicles heading to Puncak will be similar to that during major holidays,” said Bogor Police Traffic Unit KBO Iptu Ardian Novianto on Monday (15/6/2026). A total of 96 traffic police personnel will be deployed to stand guard along the Puncak route. The timing of the one-way implementation will follow the usual holiday schedule. “The traffic engineering will be the same as during national holidays or weekends, with a one-way system uphill (towards Puncak) prepared in the morning, and a one-way system downhill (towards Jakarta) prepared in the afternoon,” he explained. Ardian stated that his team will be on standby starting tonight, as the trend of increasing vehicle volume typically begins the evening before the holiday. “Especially ahead of tomorrow’s holiday, tonight the traffic volume will also be quite high,” he clarified. The exact duration and timing of the one-way implementation will be situational, based on vehicle volume. The police have established indicators for when the one-way system can be initiated and concluded. “For example, if the volume is already high at 06:00 WIB, according to the counting at the Ciawi Toll exit exceeding 2,000 vehicles, then we will implement the one-way system earlier. If the afternoon traffic is relatively sparse, we will also implement the one-way in the afternoon. We will simply follow the increase in traffic flow,” he concluded.
