Note! Motorway Tolls Discounted 30% During Lebaran Exodus 2026
The Ministry of Public Works (PU) has announced that to support the smooth flow of the Lebaran exodus and return in 2026, the government is preparing a policy offering a 30 per cent discount on motorway toll tariffs to reduce the burden of travel on the public.
Public Works Minister Dody Hanggodo stated that the toll rate discount policy is part of the government’s effort to improve the convenience of public mobility during the Lebaran exodus period. The policy is also aligned with discounted transportation policies offered on other transport modes.
“We had to coordinate with the Toll Road Business Entities first because the scheme is different. Other transport modes are primarily subsidised, while for toll roads we are cutting the profit margins of the toll road operators. Praise be to God, all toll road operators immediately agreed, and the routes and timing have already been communicated by the Head of the Toll Road Regulatory Body. God willing, we will apply the 30 per cent discount,” said Dody in a written statement on Saturday (7 March 2026).
Toll Routes
The 30 per cent toll rate discount will be applied during the Lebaran exodus and return period in 2026 on 15-16 March 2026 for the exodus and 26-27 March 2026 for the return journey. This will be implemented using electronic payment systems for the longest distance journeys on designated routes.
The government will ensure compliance with Minimum Service Standards (SPM), operationalise additional toll road sections without charges, and prepare additional Rest and Service Areas (TIP) for both operational and functional purposes.
Several toll routes receiving the discount include Jakarta-Cikampek, Jakarta-Cikampek Elevated (MBZ), Cikampek-Palimanan, Palimanan-Kanci, Kanci-Pejagan, Pejagan-Pemalang, Pemalang-Batang, Batang-Semarang, Semarang ABC, Cipularang, Padaleunyi, Tangerang-Merak, Cimanggis-Cibitung, Cileunyi-Sumedang-Dawuan (Cisumdawu), and Kelapa Gading-Pulogebang.
