Note: Jakarta's Odd-Even Traffic Rule in Effect for Three Days This Week
Due to the Eid al-Adha holiday and accompanying leave on 27-28 May 2026, Jakarta’s odd-even vehicle restriction scheme will only apply for three days this week. This follows the decrees issued by the Minister of Religious Affairs, Minister of Manpower, and Minister of State Apparatus Utilisation and Bureaucratic Reform, along with Jakarta Governor Regulation No. 88 of 2019. The Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) has also announced via its official social media that the odd-even rule will be suspended on 27-28 May 2026. The odd-even system is enforced on certain Jakarta roads to ease traffic congestion based on vehicle number plates. If the last digit of the number plate is odd, the vehicle may only be driven on odd-numbered dates, and vice versa.
