In conjunction with the celebration of Nyepi and Eid al-Fitr 2026, immigration services will remain operational with specific operating hour provisions.

Immigration Service Operating Hours During Nyepi and Lebaran 2026

According to the Directorate General of Immigration’s Instagram account, the following immigration service provisions apply during the Nyepi and Lebaran 2026 holidays:

  • Passport and immigration residence permit services remain open on 16, 17, 25, 26, and 27 March 2026.

  • From 18-24 March 2026, walk-in applications for passports and immigration residence permits continue to be processed for applicants in urgent circumstances meeting the following criteria:

    • Serious illness requiring treatment abroad

    • Death or serious illness of the applicant’s immediate family member abroad

    • Emergency immigration residence permit applications (illness, national interest, force majeure, and other conditions deemed significant)

Note: Walk-in applications must be accompanied by supporting documents explaining the applicant’s urgent circumstances.

Requirements, Procedures and Cost of New Passport

For those wishing to travel abroad, possession of a passport is mandatory. The Directorate General of Immigration provides information on requirements, procedures and costs for obtaining a passport.

Requirements:

  • Electronic identity card (e-KTP)

  • Family card

  • Birth certificate/diploma/marriage certificate

Procedure:

  • Register via the M-Paspor application by selecting the nearest immigration office

  • Visit on the scheduled date selected in the M-Paspor application

  • Ensure all information provided during the interview process is accurate

Costs:

  • 5-year electronic passport: IDR 650,000

  • 10-year electronic passport: IDR 950,000

Lost or Damaged Passport Fees and Replacement Procedure

If your passport is lost or damaged, the following penalties apply:

  • Lost passport replacement fee: IDR 1,000,000

  • Damaged passport replacement fee: IDR 500,000

The above fees do not include the passport issuance fee:

  • 5-year electronic passport: IDR 650,000

  • 10-year electronic passport: IDR 950,000

Requirements for Lost or Damaged Passport Replacement:

  • Electronic identity card (e-KTP)

  • Family card

  • Birth certificate/diploma/marriage certificate

  • Old passport (for damaged passports)

  • Police report (for lost passports)

Procedure for Lost or Damaged Passport Replacement:

  • Report directly to the immigration office that issued the original passport without needing to register via the M-Paspor application.

  • Passport processing must proceed through an examination report (BAP) stage at the immigration office.
