As Eid al-Fitr approaches, economic activity and financial transactions typically increase due to shopping needs, payments, and fund transfers. To ensure the financial system operates smoothly and banking services remain available to the public, the monetary authority typically adjusts operational procedures during national holidays and joint leave periods.

In accordance with this policy, Bank Indonesia has established operational adjustments for its systems during the Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijrah holiday period.

In line with Government regulations on National Holidays and Joint Leave in 2026, and to ensure banking service infrastructure remains available to the public, Bank Indonesia has set operational adjustments for the Eid al-Fitr 1447 H/2026 period from Wednesday, 18 March 2026 to Tuesday, 24 March 2026.

During this period, several of Bank Indonesia’s main systems will be temporarily suspended. The Bank Indonesia Real Time Gross Settlement (BI-RTGS), Bank Indonesia Scripless Securities Settlement System (BI-SSSS), and Bank Indonesia Electronic Trading Platform (BI-ETP) will cease all services during the holiday.

Additionally, the Bank Indonesia National Clearing System (SKNBI) will not operate during the same period. Bank Indonesia explained that all debit cheques in Zone 4 submitted on 17 March 2026 (the day before the holiday) will be cleared on 25 March 2026.

Meanwhile, the Bank Indonesia Fast Payment (BI-FAST) instant fund transfer service will continue operating fully throughout the Eid holiday. This allows the public to continue conducting instant fund transfers through BI-FAST-connected channels.

Bank Indonesia will also suspend all cash service operations during the holiday period. Cash service operations will not be conducted until the holiday ends.

Adjustments also apply to monetary operations. For rupiah monetary operations, all transactions will cease during the Eid holiday. The same applies to foreign exchange monetary operations.

For foreign exchange monetary operations, there are additional adjustments. All foreign exchange monetary operation transactions will be suspended, and the Jakarta Interbank Spot Dollar Rate (JISDOR) will not be published.
