JAKARTA - The Director General of Land Transportation at the Ministry of Transportation, Aan Suhanan, has officially stated that the Lebaran mudik 2026 has concluded. This follows the designation of Eid al-Fitr 1447 H on 21 March 2026. Aan then reminded the public planning to return to Jakarta or their points of departure to avoid the time predicted to be the peak of the Lebaran return traffic. “What must be remembered is that we urge the public to avoid the peak return traffic time predicted for 24 March 2026,” Aan said in his official statement on Friday (20/3/2026). The number of vehicles leaving Jakarta from the four main Toll Gates, namely Cikupa, Ciawi, Cikampek Utama, and Kalihurip Utama, reached more than 270,000 vehicles. The majority of these vehicles departing Jakarta were directed towards the Trans-Java Toll Road, namely more than 50 percent.
