Not Stopping at 5 Suspects, AGO Now Scrutinises All BGN Procurement Projects

The Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung) is currently scrutinising all procurement projects at the National Nutrition Agency (BGN). This was stated by the Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus), Febrie Adriansyah. The action is being taken as a development of the case involving alleged corruption in the governance of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) programme at the BGN for the 2025–2026 period. “All procurements are being examined by us. We are cooperating with the Finance and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) on this. We will look at the reasonableness of everything. We are opening everything up,” he said on Monday, 15 June 2026. He stated that the deepening investigation is being carried out to ensure that the MBG programme runs in accordance with its original purpose, namely providing nutritious food for children. Furthermore, the development of this case is also to ensure that the MBG becomes a driver for the surrounding economic sector. “If it turns out that the vendors are truly from the local area’s produce, the vegetables, the chicken. That is what we hope for. That is why we are processing this case, we are opening it up and pushing to ensure that the good objectives of the MBG can be guaranteed to succeed,” he said. One of the corruption methods in this case is the inflation or mark-up of goods procurement prices at the BGN. Several procurements suspected of being misappropriated include the procurement of 21,801 electric motorbike units with a total procurement value of IDR 1.035 trillion. The funds had been paid to PT YAT, which did not meet the requirements as a vendor because it lacked an active dealership or workshop, and there was a mark-up. Also, the procurement of 32,000 pairs of shoes that did not meet specifications and involved a mark-up. Then, the procurement of 31,994 tablet units that did not meet specifications and involved a mark-up. Lastly, the procurement of 5,400 television units that did not meet specifications and involved a mark-up. It is known that on 3 June 2026, AGO investigators named three former BGN officials as suspects: former BGN Head Dadan Hindayana (DH), former BGN Deputy Head for Organisational Development and Institutional Support Lodewyk Pusung (LP), and former BGN Deputy Head for Nutritional Fulfilment Operations Sony Sonjaya (SS). Then, on 6 June 2026, a fourth suspect was named, Asep Yusuf Somantri (AYS), a private party involved in locating SPPG kitchen sites.
