Not Rp19,000 per Cylinder: Purbaya Reveals True Economic Price of 3kg LPG
Jakarta — Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa has disclosed the true economic price of subsidised 3kg liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). He explained that the Rp19,000 price currently circulating among consumers represents the result of government intervention through budgetary subsidies from the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN).
Purbaya stated that the government has continuously allocated budget to cover the difference between the true economic price and the retail energy price paid by consumers, including for 3kg LPG.
“The government has been bearing the difference between the economic price and the price paid by consumers through energy and non-energy subsidies,” said Purbaya during a working session with Commission XI of the House of Representatives.
What is the current 3kg LPG price at distribution points and outlets?
