Not Only the Regent, the KPK Also Brings the Regional Secretary and Several Department Heads from Pekalongan to Jakarta
Pekalongan City Police Chief AKBP Riki Yariandi confirmed that KPK investigators have questioned several Pekalongan Regency officials in relation to the operation that led to the arrest of Regent Fadia Arafiq. He said the people questioned included the Regional Secretary of Pekalongan Regency and several department heads, with one camat (district head) and a private-sector partner or contractor who may be under suspicion also questioned. Riki revealed that the KPK team questioned individuals at the Pekalongan City Police Station (Mapolres Pekalongan Kota). ‘There were about 11 people questioned, including the Regional Secretary of Pekalongan Regency, several department heads, one camat, and some private individuals or contractors who may be under suspicion,’ he said on Tuesday (3 March 2026). However, he noted that Fadia Arafiq was not questioned at Mapolres Pekalongan Kota. Investigators began the questioning in the early hours of Tuesday, around 1 or 2 am. ‘The questioning finished around 2 pm. Then at 3 pm they were transported by bus to Jakarta,’ he said. According to Riki, almost all those questioned at Mapolres Pekalongan Kota were taken to Jakarta. ‘Including the Regional Secretary, department heads, heads of sections, and security personnel and aides,’ he added. He also revealed that, besides the questioned individuals, investigators transported some documents. A number of vehicles were seized and brought by the KPK team.
