Authorities have not only apprehended major drug trafficker Erwin Iskandar, alias Ko Erwin, but have also arrested a key figure in his operation—the network’s treasurer.

The West Nusa Tenggara Police (Polda NTB) confirmed the arrest of Ais Setiawati, who was on the police wanted list (DPO). Ais was detained in Mataram on Thursday, 26 February 2026.

“One of our DPOs has already been captured—Ais, who served as treasurer. We arrested him in Mataram. The Criminal Investigation Command apprehended Ko Erwin yesterday in North Sumatra, near the Malaysian border. We secured another DPO in Mataram,” said Roman Elhaj, Director of the Narcotics Investigation Unit at Polda NTB, speaking to journalists on Friday, 27 February 2026.

Within the network structure, Ais served as the financial manager. He received drug sale proceeds from Anita, the wife of a Bima Police auxiliary officer, Bripka Irfan. These funds were then forwarded to Ko Erwin, the primary trafficker.

Additionally, Ais had attended a meeting with several individuals now implicated in the case.

“Yes, it’s true (he attended the meeting) at Hotel Marina Inn in Bima—Ko Erwin was there, Malaungi was there, Ais was there, and Anita,” Roman explained.

This meeting became a critical juncture in developing the case regarding alleged fund flows and the involvement of various parties, including former Bima Police Narcotics Chief AKP Malaungi, a subordinate of former Bima Police Chief AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro.

Despite his strategic role in the money circulation, officers found no narcotics when they arrested Ais at a rented house in Mataram.

“No new evidence was found—only his mobile phone,” he stated.

The seized mobile phone has now become a key focus for investigators to trace communications and transaction records. Ais has since been transferred to Jakarta for questioning by the National Police Criminal Investigation Command’s Narcotics Crime Directorate.

He is being interrogated jointly with other suspects from various drug trafficking clusters. The questioning involves individuals previously designated as suspects by Polda NTB, including Irfan, Herman, Yusril, and Anita, as well as Ko Erwin and AKBP Didik, whose cases are now being handled by the National Police Criminal Investigation Command’s Narcotics Crime Directorate.
