Not Just Local Tourists, Foreign Visitors Also Holiday in Lembang
The impact of the school holidays is beginning to be felt by tourism operators in the Lembang area, West Bandung Regency (KBB), West Java. Tourists have started arriving to enjoy a holiday in the area known for its variety of natural attractions. As observed on Saturday (20/6/2026) at The Great Asia Africa (TGAA) Lembang, group travellers and foreign tourists were already seen arriving. This tourist attraction is famous for its replicas of cultures from eight countries across Asia and Africa, which are ideal for selfies. Among them was Aqilah, a tourist from Sabah, Malaysia, who travelled a great distance specifically to enjoy this weekend’s holiday with friends and family. She took special leave to holiday in the Lembang area. “I came here to holiday with my family. A holiday here,” said Aqilah. There were reasons that made her choose Lembang as her holiday destination despite having to travel far from Malaysia. Among them, Lembang has many choices of tourist destinations. “Why did I choose Lembang? Because there are indeed many tourist spots like Orchid Forest. Now I am at Great Asia Africa, one place you can go. Lembang is cool, there is a difference from Malaysia where I live. Today to Lembang, tomorrow we go to Ciwidey,” she said.
