Not Just Hotel Sultan, State Secretariat Takes Over GBK Multipurpose Building

The Ministry of State Secretariat (Kemensetneg) has taken over the assets of the Multipurpose Hall in the Gelora Bung Karno Complex. This was disclosed by Minister of State Secretariat Prasetyo Hadi during a working meeting with Commission XIII of the House of Representatives (DPR RI) at the Parliament Complex on Wednesday (15/7/2026).

Prasetyo explained that the building is located directly behind the Artotel Gelora Senayan, formerly known as the Century Atlet Hotel.

He explained that his side has successfully held discussions with the previous owners to have the building managed once again by the Gelora Bung Karno Complex Management Centre (PPKGBK), or returned to the state.

“We have successfully re-reviewed this, and the previous owners will return the management rights to PPKGBK or to the state,” he said.

Prasetyo said his side would continue to review all state assets managed by PPK GBK as well as PPK Kemayoran.

“This is one example we wish to report: the Wisma Serbaguna site has now been successfully returned to the state, similar to Block 15 of the complex,” he added.

According to the GBK website, the GBK Multipurpose Hall is a multi-function building that can be used for weddings, job fairs, gatherings, seminars, competitions, graduation ceremonies and other events. Previously, the building hosted the Wufest Taolu Championship in 2019 and served as the office of the Indonesia Asian Games Organizing Committee (INASGOC).
