The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has prepared various facilities for residents who choose to remain in the capital during this year’s Lebaran period. Through the “Mudik to Jakarta” programme, the public can enjoy a range of discounts and special facilities across various sectors.

This programme is the result of a strategic collaboration between the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government and the Indonesian Hotel and Restaurant Association (PHRI) DKI Jakarta, the Indonesian Travel Agents Association (Astindo) DKI, and the Jakarta Experience Board.

DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung explained that this initiative is designed to keep the capital’s atmosphere lively and festive, even though the majority of its residents travel home for Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah.

“For those who do not go mudik, we have emphasised that because the theme for Jakarta is ‘Mudik to Jakarta’, we will treat them specially,” said Pramono, quoted on Wednesday (18/3).

“Jakarta this time provides space for anyone to enjoy the city when Jakarta is empty,” he continued.

This promotional programme does not only run during Lebaran. The DKI Provincial Government has set the “Mudik to Jakarta” programme period from 27 February to 31 March 2026.

Capital residents can also enjoy various promotions in the tourism and transportation sectors.

One of them is a staycation programme at 26 hotels in Jakarta with an offer to pay for two nights and stay for three nights.

In addition, there are special shopping vouchers that can be used at 10 ITC Group outlets, including ITC Mangga Dua, Mal Mangga Dua, ITC Cempaka Mas, ITC Roxy Mas, ITC Kuningan, Mal Ambassador, Grand ITC Permata Hijau, ITC Fatmawati, ITC Depok, and ITC BSD.

The Provincial Government is also offering discounts of up to 30 percent at various recreational spots such as Ancol, Dufan, TMII, museums, cinemas, golf courses, spas, and other entertainment venues.

There are also Jakarta tour packages, ranging from walking tours to trips using tourist buses to visit various destinations in the Capital.

Furthermore, the public can take advantage of special fares for Citilink flights as well as train journeys from PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) to Jakarta.
