Norway and Ukraine sign drone production agreement
Oslo (ANTARA) - Norway and Ukraine signed an agreement to launch the joint production of Ukrainian drones in Norway, the Norwegian Government announced on Monday (27/4). According to a statement from the Norwegian Ministry of Defence, the agreement was signed in Kyiv by Norwegian Ambassador to Ukraine Lars Ragnar Aalerud Hansen and Ukrainian Deputy Minister of Defence Sergiy Boyev. The Ukrainian manufacturer has informed the Norwegian Ministry of Defence that it expects the first drone systems produced in Norway to be delivered to Ukraine before the summer of 2026. Norwegian Minister of Defence Tore O. Sandvik stated that this cooperation marks an important and concrete step towards deeper Norway-Ukraine defence cooperation. The agreement will also facilitate bilateral industrial cooperation, including various efforts to strengthen supply chains and establish joint research and development partnerships.
