Northrop to build F-5 parts
WASHINGTON (Reuter): The U.S. air force announced that it has
awarded Northrop Grumman Corp. a US$173 million contract for
replacement structural parts for RF/F-5 fighter planes sold to 25
countries.
It said parts for the plane built especially for sales around
the world including wings, tails, fuselage bulkheads and cockpit
parts.
It said the parts are for planes sold to Bahrain, Brazil,
Canada, Chile, Greece, Honduras, Indonesia, Jordan, Kenya, Korea,
Malaysia, Mexico, Morocco, Norway, Philippines, Saudi Arabia,
Singapore, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Tunisia, Turkey,
Venezuela and Yemen.
