PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Regional Division I North Sumatra has started using BioSolar B50 fuel for all its operational train services. The transition is part of efforts to support national energy independence, increase the utilisation of biofuel, and reduce Indonesia’s dependence on diesel imports. The daily consumption of BioSolar B50 in the North Sumatra region is recorded at approximately 17,624 litres. The shift from BioSolar B35 to B50 is expected to accelerate the national energy mix and forms part of the government’s strategy towards energy self-sufficiency.
