North Sumatra Provincial Government Retains Unqualified Opinion for 12th Consecutive Year

The Provincial Government of North Sumatra has once again received an Unqualified Opinion (WTP) from the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) of the Republic of Indonesia for its Regional Government Financial Report (LKPD) for the 2025 Fiscal Year, maintaining this achievement for 12 consecutive years. “This 12th consecutive WTP achievement is hoped to be a spur for all apparatus,” said North Sumatra Governor Bobby Nasution after the plenary session for the submission of the BPK’s Audit Results Report on the North Sumatra Provincial LKPD for the 2025 Fiscal Year at the North Sumatra DPRD Building on Thursday. Bobby stated that the achievement is the result of the collective efforts of all parties committed to effective, transparent, and accountable regional financial management. He also expressed appreciation to the BPK for completing the audit of the North Sumatra Provincial LKPD for the 2025 Fiscal Year with high integrity, independence, and professionalism. “This adds to our enthusiasm to continue improving the quality of regional financial management and deliver the best results for the people of North Sumatra,” he said. In addition to internal improvements, the Provincial Government also expects guidance from the BPK and effective, objective, and constructive supervision from the North Sumatra DPRD. “We also hope that all apparatus will continue to improve performance, responsibility, and integrity in managing regional finances in compliance with principles and regulations,” he stated. Bobby expressed hope that the North Sumatra Provincial Government’s financial reports in the coming years will continue to maintain this best opinion as part of a clean and accountable government work culture. According to him, the Provincial Government is committed to realising clean government and good governance through regional governance and financial management based on the principles of transparency, participation, and accountability to achieve a superior, advanced, and sustainable North Sumatra. He noted that there are still several recommendations that need to be followed up, including those related to the evaluation of regional expenditure, the settlement of overpayments, and other notes. “Nevertheless, these issues do not have a material impact on the fairness of the North Sumatra Provincial Government’s financial report for the 2025 Fiscal Year,” said Nelson. Nelson also appreciated the follow-up achievement on audit results in accordance with BPK recommendations, which has reached 78.9 percent. “For this reason, we need a joint commitment so that this achievement can meet the national target of 80 percent. We congratulate you on this 12th WTP opinion,” he said.
