North Sumatra Provincial Government Records Rp521.494 Billion Surplus Under Governor Bobby Nasution

The North Sumatra Provincial Government (Pemprov Sumut) has recorded a budget surplus of Rp521.494 billion for the 2025 fiscal year. Governor Muhammad Bobby Afif Nasution presented the Draft Regional Regulation on the Accountability of the 2025 Budget Implementation during a plenary session of the North Sumatra Regional People’s Representative Council (DPRD Sumut) on Wednesday, 1 July 2026. The session was held in the DPRD Sumut plenary meeting room. Governor Bobby detailed several financial reports for the 2025 fiscal year, including the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget Realisation Report, the Report on Changes in Budget Surplus Balances, the Balance Sheet, the Operational Report, the Cash Flow Report, and the Report on Changes in Equity. He explained that regional revenue realisation in 2025 reached Rp12.027 trillion, or 95.87 per cent of the target of Rp12.546 trillion. This revenue came from Regional Original Revenue (PAD), transfer revenue, and other legitimate regional revenues. Meanwhile, regional expenditure realisation for the 2025 fiscal year was recorded at Rp11.505 trillion, or 92.00 per cent of the total expenditure budget of Rp12.507 trillion. This expenditure was allocated for operational spending, capital spending, unforeseen spending, and transfer spending. ‘If the revenue realisation is subtracted from the expenditure realisation during 2025, there is a surplus of Rp521.494 billion,’ Bobby stated, as quoted on Monday, 6 July 2026. Additionally, net financing was recorded at Rp10.992 billion, resulting in a 2025 Budget Surplus Calculation (SiLPA) of Rp532.486 billion. Bobby noted that the financial report had been prepared in accordance with Government Accounting Standards and audited by the Audit Board of Indonesia (BPK) Representative Office of North Sumatra. The audit results were presented during a DPRD Sumut plenary session on 25 June 2026. The province once again received an Unqualified Opinion (WTP), marking the twelfth consecutive year Pemprov Sumut has achieved this distinction, covering financial reports from the 2014 to 2025 fiscal years. Bobby expressed gratitude for the achievement and thanked all parties involved, including the DPRD Sumut for its optimal oversight function.
